Reset ? no, what's needed is a major re-engineering of our society

Have you all noticed how NZ has slowly become a very expensive place to live ?

Lets go back 25 years and see what neo -liberal capitalism has done (especially to the previous egalitarian values and the creation of a rich and poor divide )

Water is expensive and gst on top - the ceo of Watercare gets paid 775k and made no plans for a drought

Electricity is 22c plus a unit (and gst) -was 4c 25 years ago ) now multiple ceos of many companies are on 1mill plus with their "executive team " not far behind

Our own Kiwi made food is cheaper overseas -most countries do not charge gst on basics and fresh veg

Council rates are through the roof , paying ridiculous salaries to idiot bureaucrats

The banks are making millions and charging much more than for example Australia - How about nationalising them ? -that would have the effect of the reserve bank printing money -exchange rate to 50c to the US - import substitution more viable - exports return more Kiwi Dollars -wages go up -Fortress NZ

The man who started this site is responsible for starting to bring Chinese junk here , the result being the decimation of our manufacturing base and filling our landfills (nice one -now a Sir and 300m richer )

Other junk suppliers like Bunnings, Mitre10 , Briscoes and Rebel sport etc etc have sprung up

Media is full of advertising , and we have droves of marketing , merchandising etc people

Business works on making a profit -they are the problem and not the solution -the assembled panel are very heavy with Ceo's (mostly totally overpaid as well) with a sprinkling of thinkers ,scientists, and enterpreneurs -Not an engineer or technical person in sight !

Also - laid off older tradespeople each teach 20 young people (ex retailing /hospitality/tourism)to build houses -akin to habitats for humanity -no profit motive , pay the kids $15 hr and they have a skill for life

Same for tree nurseries and planting - etc

So what do you think ?

The problem is that most are happy with their lot and not really interested in developing, changing, or improving NZ in any material way so long as it does not affect their own backyard.

So NZ is still a small country that is used by politicians as an experiment for their personal beliefs and UN agenda that is now re-engineering NZ with separate legal and economic systems termed "self-determination" for indigenous.

Its a directive that NZ politicians signed off on as a declaration which will result eventually in what is termed decolonisation and joint sovereignty of NZ.

Its the end of NZ as we use to know it. The future has already been deterimined under the very noses of most who are happy with their lot. So much so that they are happy for their taxes to fund the government establishing laws that will eventual remove their rights generation by generation.

Now few have any right to input on and change the way NZ is heading in a material way. Most believe the spin that its all fine and government knows best.

So I am not sure why this website was set up to suggest the future can be determined by inputs from a group with their own agenda. I suspect another agenda is operating. The future is already set in concrete by political engineering.

The NZ direction is now an outcome that is selected by an academic elite who use bias-research, and influence polticians who wish to be seen to follow the UN to the letter for a career. They turn away from ensuring NZ is advancing in a modern way. They ignore important global advancements and commerce. Instead they favour a culture that is slow and looks backwards. One where NZ is changed slowly to showcase for tourists and the world how an entire population can be made to embrace an old culture rather than progress. Even to the degree of changing names and language to show respect for the old-culture which is pretty much built on mythical stories and legends about pulling the land out of the sea by a demigod.
